FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1.How does it work?

Hypnosis is not magic – it’s science! It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM. That’s what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It’s very easy and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too!

2. What does it feel like?

The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel like in a normal conversation, only sitting with closed eyes, some feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like – it’s working.

3. What if I can't be hypnotised?

Everyone can be hypnotised – as long as you allow yourself to enter a state of hypnosis, you will. It’s a natural state and will feel perfectly normal, relaxing and enjoyable.

4. Can I get "stuck" in hypnosis?

No! That’s an old wives’ tale. You have complete control the whole time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave (I’ve had clients who had to stop to go to the toilet before!). If our call gets disconnected you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and open your eyes.

5. Will RTT work for me?

Yes. Hypnosis has been around for ages and is a well-known proven therapy, and in particular, RTT has worked on thousands of people just like you. It is vital that you listen to your bespoke recording for 21 days to ensure permanent, long-lasting change.

6. What if I don't "go deep" enough?

Don’t worry about how deep you go. I want you to forget all about that. It’s really not important. The depth of trance is not linked to results at all. So, don’t get stuck on “Am I deep enough?” Just go for it and you will see it works. That method is effective.

7. I'm worried you will make me do something I don't want to and you will have full control over me.

Please, remember that you are NOT asleep. Although you will be in a state of hypnosis, you will be aware of everything going on in your session and cannot be made to do something you do not want to do. In fact, you will be more decisive. You will have better control over your body, mind, emotions, your thinking process and memory.

8.How will I feel in my session?

The hypnosis itself feels wonderful and relaxing. During the session you may be emotional as we get to the root cause of your issue and  you will be reviewing the scene, almost like watching a movie.

At the end of the session you may feel excited or reflective, but you will leave with a great sense of understanding as to why you had that issue and a sense of freedom and empowerment as you realise you have let it go.

9. What if there's something I don't want to tell you?

Don’t worry, our session is completely confidential and if there is something you don’t want to share, then you are under no pressure to do so. It is important only that you understand the meaning.

10. What if I think I already know the reason behind my issue?

What makes RTT amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a COMPLETELY new way. That’s what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients they go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected. Just relax and trust that your subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see.

11. How long does the session take?

Each Rapid Transformational Therapy session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason, I ask you to block of a full 2-2.5 hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed.

12. How will I feel after the session? Are there any 'side effects"?

Many people don’t experience any symptoms after the session. Some may feel excited or reflective, having a higher or lower energy level. People may also experience inexplicable feelings of joy, happiness, contentment, like something has ‘gone, shifted or changed’ but they just can’t put their finger on it! Clarity in their purpose or direction, or when people are negative, they don’t react…they may feel happy to be alive!

Some people feel nausea, experience flu-type symptoms, some diarrhea, some very emotional after and some shattered after a session and sleep very heavily too. It is also normal to feel some anger about the past, to no longer be able to tolerate ‘bad’ or negative behaviour towards you in the same way (your threshold for this will shift dramatically).

This is all just the body clearing out the old emotions. It is very powerful and completely normal. And usually last for 1-3 days.

So as you can see, everyone can have different experiences.

13. When will I start to see changes?

There are 3 types of change from Rapid Transformational Therapy – every person is different:

  • Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours right in the session.
  • Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
  • Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.
14. What if I need or want another session?

RTT is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life. Some clients may need more than one RTT session on a particular issue, depending on how deep it is, it can take up to 3. Most want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life and receive coaching to integrate the new beliefs and build new habits and behaviours.

15. I have lots of problems, can you still help me?

Many clients have a few issues, but we can work on one issue at a time. We will work out, what is the one thing that you want to get rid of, deal with that and then we can return for subsequent issues. Often, getting rid of your main issue has a positive knock off effect on other issues. So you may notice that while working on one issue, some others disappear or are not an issue anymore.

16. How do the audio recordings work?

The mind learns by repetition, so by repeatedly listening (21 days) to the powerful words and messages of the audios, you will rewire your mind for abundance for good.

17. I don't live near you - can you help me?

Yes! If you cannot physically make it for the 1:1 session, I offer online sessions for clients via zoom. These are equally effective and take place in the comfort of your own home. Wherever you are in the world!

18. Is hypnotherapy safe for children?

Yes. Hypnotherapy for children and young people is considered highly effective and completely safe. Children tend to respond very well to hypnosis as they are naturally quite imaginative and use their subconscious mind a great deal more than adults do.

19. Do you work with children?

Yes, I am happy to work with teenagers. However, for the therapy to be successful (regardless of age), we need to be working on the client’s most pressing issue and children and their parents do not always have the same priorities, but this we discuss always before the session.

20. What is NLP?

NLP – Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Shortly said: NLP are psychological skills for understanding people (their behaviour, language and personality) and practical skills for unfolding people’s genius and bringing out the best of them and motivating to action to create results they truly want.

21. Are there any contraindication to undergo hypnosis?

Hypnosis is not recomended for people suffering from epilepsy and psychotic disorders like schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder. schizophreniform disorder, brief psychotic disorder, delusional disorder, substance-induced psychotic disorder, psychotic disorder due to a medical condition, paraphrenia, dissociative identity disorder.
